The West Country not only has outstandingly beautiful and diverse landscapes but it also provides a wealth of gourmet food outlets.

The meat and meat products listed on this site comes from farms where the animals live in a peaceful environment,. Where their lives are stress free, which means the meat is far superior in taste and is traceable.

We list some truly exceptional growers, producers and retailers of wine, cheese and vegetables. We have also included hotels and restaurants that provide outstanding service, and where the quality of the food will excite the taste buds.

Food Products.

All have been tried and tasted, and are regularly on our shopping list.

Restaurants.

We find that a number of restaurants that we intended to include have changed ownership, we are therefore reluctant to include them until we have dined there again,

Hotels.

Until recently we holidayed in our motor home hence the small number of hotels. We now opt for comfort rather than an alfresco life style, therefore we will soon be adding a few more hotels to the list
